Drunken Words:

The Dude is Jud Clemmons
Yes the infamous Drunken Words page is back by demand of the owner because the people on this planet do the weirdest things....

Ahh time for a new entry..today's theme, Support Bands.Nov 4 2008:

Well well time is changing and I have been thinking lots about the 2 words "Support and Band" and I wonder, where this originated from..I would imagine that somehow the so named act would offer some time of "support" to the other act, anyway I drop in now via cut and paste from a lovely email I forwarded recently to my booking agent, as it seems now the definition has changed to, "Leech Band"...what do I mean? Enjoy my little rant below...(of course many of you great support bands out there for JUD are not included in the below ranting and raving session)
arrive at gig, support band is normally already on stage, because they have no concept of soundcheck sequence. then we get organized, figure out that they play on our drums and speaker cabinets, then as always we set up, do a quick and efficient 2 song professional sound check, then get off stage. then the support band changes our drums, moves the lights, moves the stands, and after 20 or 30 minutes average, of playing around like it is their practice room, they start to play some songs, then they get excited because of the nice sound, and they dont stop playing, normally all bands that have opened for us sound check 6-8 songs, as we are trying desperately to have some piece and eat a dinner, normally a shitty currywurst or something like in koeln underground (although the server dude is awesome), the sound of a terrible band playing on our gear..... even worse they put all their friends on the guest list, they start late, pushing the whole show back, the finally get off stage, chatting, rolling up cables like snails on the highway and putting thier drums in cases, we desperately try to reset the stage, our sound check was destroyed, and the whole fucking time was wasted to then play, as the support band and all their fans (2 or 3 girfriends, is the truth and the standard) as they are walking out of the door so we play, not for their fans, and dont get money because they were on the guest list so we become babysitters, and every night have to go up to these guys and say, sorry, 2 songs is enough for sound check, errrr...hey it is 9 o'clock dudes, you have to start,,,they say, "it is a late club", we live here, we know! then we play, some of our beloved fans are leaving for the last trains, and the "support" band, and both of their fans??? nowhere to be found.... in the future you will see much more of JUD and The Fullbliss minus the mucky muck session clouding up the room and clogging up our ears with nonsense...

Free loaders and Independant Music - 30 Jul. 2008:

small word of my thoughts of picturing me as a worker, family guy, is...... (just to clarify) as perhaps my point is missed.... I prefer to be independant (not dependant) I dont take unemployment money, or money from my parents, I dont work in offices, I like to work with my hands and do artistic things, I am independant, and pay for things, like albums, with money earned from these things, mixed in with family dude stuff, and for me rock and roll is about these things, struggle, not the easy life, more then all the fake rockers out there who get free money and sleep til 12, not challenged with survival responsibilities, I think work is cool, it inspires me and gives me energy, to make music, to be Independant, truly independant, to be Inde..... my idea to be different, and not do things the same way, as the others, is a character I love about myself, and it has kept me alive for many years, and earned me lots of respect as an artist....

Lies and Blame - 1.Jul.2008:

Promises...undelivered, unfullfilled, then the promiser blames the promisee, in anyway possible to relieve the guilt and save the image and reputation of the promiser. The promiser feels better on the outside, but burns to death on the inside, the promisee feels hurt, and confused, but with time is empowered with innocent energy, clean energy, remains a part of the greater good, and steps forward, closer to the goals of the promisee....the promiser swims for awhile in his or her own vomit, then sees and feels the truth, and tries to swim to the surface, to say, I am sorry...some drown, some live, all depends on the word, and how it is spoken...I AM Sorry

Now and Then - May.2008:

I started the idea for JUD in 1995, after leaving my Prog. Rock Band "Damn The Machine" and wanting to have a project that was raw and WITHOUT rules, how or what it should be. I made a demo with my friend Ross Robinson, with some guys I don't even have contact to anymore, then later joined up with my mates Steve and Hoss, and we had a nice ride with a few tours in usa and europe. At the same time I founded "The Fullbliss" to balance my psychotic brainwaves and give me a place to escape to, when I needed something different. I have been playing since 2000, back in forth between Los Angeles and Berlin, under my own name combined with The Fullbliss, released quite a few nice cds and after pouring my heart and energy into all of this I have had this volcano inside of me building up, and decided to stretch my wings until it hurts, and with the help of my kick ass homies: the Londoner Jim (JUD-Chasing California drummer) and Kasseler Jan, and of course Jon, we have come to a point I never reached before, The recording "Sufferboy" is for me the most bad-ass piece of work ever, that I have been involved with. It is 200% focused from beginning to end, production is sick and nasty, full full wall of sound, energetic music with so much soul that I finally am satisfied with this one. But this my friend is not a California band, I myself was born in Virginia and later moved for 15 years to Venice/Los Angeles, so we are an international triangle so to speak...what does that mean? this is a band that has come together from years of independant touring-suffering, and trying harder, over and over again. Arne Gesemann at Noisolution is our full partner in bringing this music to you, and has already told us he believes this is by far the best JUD cd ever (the 5th that is...)now don't take that as me unsatisfied with the last 4, as each has its magic and differences, raising JUD to the well deserved CULT band status, And now, Arne starts a promotion campaign to let the people of the world know about it. So there is a little historical background until now, look forward to see you on the road

Wine Why no Wine vs. Empty bottle & The full soul - Mar.2008:

I guess I am one of those weird people. Well we are on way forward now, with the luck of the master Jon Caffery, producing the most blinding cd of my life I am very happy to know that some humans are actually really kick ass people. Arne Gesemann as well has stepped up to help bring our music to the people, blasts from the past taking us into the future. I am working like a dog in my Antique shop in Berlin, to pay for my habits....music and food, strange habits...I also help cut big trees down and clean them up with Herr Rasmus master of the Baum world. Berlin is my home now, although I miss the smell of Virginia, and the taste of a real Burrito (Los Angeles was 15 years of my life and does not leave easily..) Craziest thing about a drunken words page is that I am 16 months sober, that is right, full power with no drink....things are going very well since the break up of me versus wine, but boy do I miss that. I like to mix grape juice and water in an empty red wine bottle to get the vibe..

May 6, 2002: Anyone listening?

you have tuned in to my official drunken words page, sometimes that is the best time to talk to large groups of people.  hmmmmmmmmmmmmm luck has come my way as for some reason it always does sooner or later.  The fullbliss is fully powered up with a new deal and a new tour coming up, and on top of that my other band Jud was asked to do a record by our label in Germany, and I am proud to move forward on that offer! So you probably want something more spiritual, than just facts, well, should I recommend some music that in the last week has opened my soul up, oooh boy the new tool, laterus, track 6 or 7, not sure, maynard is sending out a message, a call, to stay inside, of the body that holds you, he rules, it is the most powerful piece of music I can think of, have you heard the johnny cash american recordings III ? check out the nick cave cover of mercy seat, and also the U2 cover of one, yes, that is what I am saying, put down your nu rock records, and get into the flow.  On to my next subject, American music taste, on the street and in the offices, and at the companies who are releasing this crap? I have fought you for over 10 years now, and I see how the game works.  I have decided to focus on Europe, where the quality of music is still an issue, not the "how many fans do you have?" issue.  In Los Angeles, to book a show, you call the "promoter" now the word promote, is defined as doing something to attract attention to something, like tell people, advertise, make media to hand out or mail out, turn people on to music, Usw...etc....now you call this guy, promoter guy, and first question, only question, how many people will you bring to the show, if you can make him believe that you know 50 or 60 people in Los Angeles that are intelligent enough to actually leave their house and arrive at another location at a certain time, than you can get the show.  At the show, you will see a few things, some expensive drinks, some no smoking signs, some brainless bartenders (not always, actually I like the bartenders at the joint, and the gig, in LA) a doorguy counting people, for what band they came to see, to keep a record of this for the promoter to judge you for any next shows.  Now you most likely won't see the promoter, because he is asleep, he has to wake up to go to work Early in an office because he does not make enough money booking shows.  IDIOTS!! Enough about that

Next issue

Lots of people on medication in 2002, not satisfied with the ups and downs life offers, not able to look through things and accept responsibilty for themselves, life rules, and it is the only thing we have.  you want to feel better? stop complaining, stop thinking about complaining, stop thinking about thinking about complaining.  give, and you shall receive, take, and you shall be taken, in my opinion.....stand up, know that we all have our place here, and we are equal to the earth, equal to the animals and trees, and we are not superior to anyone, or anything, we are in line with a system that works, and is well designed to keep us challenged, entertained and satisfied.  their is a price for this, and we pay everyday, with struggle and ultimately death.  Fun, is the reward, when looking at our beautiful children, parents and grandparents, and so on down the line, experiencing love, and friendship, and facing the duration of challenge, during downfalls, the darker days.  If you trap yourself in a box, watching springer and actually enjoying it, or the news, whatever, man you have got to change that!!!!! Les Brown is a famous preacher, (I am not pushing any religious beliefs on you now because I don't really have anything I could explain in words) but this guy knows how to get to the point, and has some great insights.  One thing I have heard him say, is that "the most valuable place in the world, is the cemetary".  Where you can find all the dreams people never acted on, films, songs, books, loves, it is all there.  If you want to feel good about your life, take a risk, also in Les Browns words, "leap and the net shall appear".  I want to see better films, and hear better music, I know there are people out there sitting on these things and just waiting to do it, so get to it now! I am waiting! see you soon when I feel the need to express..................................thanks for listening

2001 drunken words: The fullbliss

seems to be always under some kind of deconstruction, something like a superhighway without any signs.  Now is the best time to tell that the pulse of the fullbliss is strong, the heartbeat that lives in every one of us, the battle of eternity, between the forces of the guilty and the proud can never go away.  Only to be put in a different place, to be redeemed like a coupon for 30 cents off of a box of frozen pig toes.  Truth is that we are not afraid of what's to come, because it's out of our hands.  The only things that make sense are the things that make us happy, singing sad songs makes us happy, and from the word on the street it makes our fans happy too.  Some things suck, and some things suck really bad, but every once in a while we find something really cool, and that's what we like to think about when we deliver our goods to you.  Music, is what we manufacture, i.e. write, not copy, not follow, not conform.  We don't use a team of producers and writers and coreographers, (I mispelled that I am sure, but that is just more proof that we won't be caught dancing on stage)  We write songs, and we play them.  If you are looking for big business, kill yourself now and save everyone the bother of having to carry you after your life falls apart.  Hey everyone, wake the fuck up, everything around you is opinionated, for instance, "when the sun comes up", not true, the trees go down.  Think about things, about why they work, and why they break, and enjoy your time here, who knows where we will go when the party is over, but if we meet again, let's have something nice to talk about!

And here is where the drunken words started...from The Fullbliss break in 2000:

News, what is news anyway, words to describe actions, in the past and in the future, in the present? who cares about that, let's just keep our little heads up and paint that smile on our guilty faces, truth is it's ok to have a bad day, if you don't let them come they will never go.... that's our motto baby, don't fool anyone, tell the truth, and enjoy every second! The fullbliss is under deconstruction, something like a superhighway without any signs.
